On 01-03-1992, the Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi, and the Gujarat State Social Welfare Board, Ahmedabad, launched this scheme to protect women. The scheme aims to provide protection to women who have been victims of abuse, to restore their dignity, and to ensure justice.
Women who are victims of abuse and are in distress due to difficulties from their marital families receive free services through the Family Counseling Center. The center's staff work tirelessly to help reintegrate beneficiaries into their families.
